Chambon

Chambon is located in the historic heart of Brussels and named by Alfred Chambon, figurehead of architecture of the 1930s and architect of the site’s remarkable horseshoe-shaped offices turned into high-end residences. The project is the largest ever conversion of a vacant obsolete office block in the city center into an ambitious mixed-use ensemble of preserved and restored historic buildings, as well as transformed and new ones. All of them articulated around a newly designed 3.000 m² garden promenade, the largest ever built in the area in five decades. The site now accommodates 248 apartments, 134 student studios, offices, a five-star boutique hotel and an easyHotel. All the different functions have their own entrance and vertical circulations while all users share a common access to the garden, except for the student’s studios.
